Venue
CPM 2015 will be held at the Hotel Continental Terme, Ischia Porto; address: Via Michele Mazzella nr. 74.
Ischia is one of the wonderful islands in the Gulf of Naples, having volcanic origin and known and appreciated all around the world for its natural beauty and thermal water. Because of its diversified landscape and the mild climate, Ischia, the "green island", has been a popular vacation spot for centuries. Visitors appreciate the largest island in the Gulf of Naples especially because of its wonderful thermal hot springs, which have been used for wellness and therapeutic treatments since the 7th century B.C. Hiking enthusiasts can discover wonderful trails in the mountains and along the coast with different levels of difficulty: "The hikes of the lizard" lead through vineyards and chestnut forests to extinct volcano craters, pilgrimage churches, old wine cellars, and fantastic bays. On Ischia, there are many nice beaches that invite the visitor to take a swim.
The Hotel Continental Terme is situated in the locality known as "Fondo Bosso", on the axis connecting the extinct volcano of Fiaiano with the "Fishermen's Beach" at Ischia Ponte. Here the "Tifeo" spring produces highly mineralized bromo-iodic waters at temperatures that vary from 55 to 72 degrees Celsius. The Hotel Continental Terme has an unusual and fascinating architecture with Mediterranean style buildings and a 30,000 sqm surrounding park. See below some pictures of one of the thermal swimming pools and the park. The hotel will apply special rates for the CPM 2015 participants.
